ASLI - 221 English Interpreting 3 This course examines the different methodologies incorporated when interpreting in an English course. When interpreting in an English course, students learn to follow the rules of grammar to communicate information and ideas effectively in a written form. Interpreters must know the phoneme sequencing program for reading, spelling and speech in order to interpret effectively and accurately. This course examines the components of language and theories of language acquisition of phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics.
Pre-requisite(s): ASLI 112 or EIPA performance score of 3.5 or higher
