BIOL - 201 Human Anatomy and Physiology I 4 BIOL 201 Human A and P I is the first in a two-course sequence. The course begins with a foundation of structural organization, basic chemistry, and the study of cells and tissues, and progresses to include structures and functions of human body systems. Body systems covered in this course include the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and sensory systems. Emphasis is placed on the interrelationships among systems and regulation of physiological functions involved in maintaining homeostasis. The laboratory component of this course provides a learning experience for exploration of human system components and basic physiology, and will include histologic examinations, physiological modeling, hands-on and computer assisted instruction and dissections to emphasize topics covered in the lecture.(GEC 2)
