EMST - 236 Advanced Medical Emergencies III with Lab 3 This course is designed to teach techniques of patient history taking, physical examinations, patient assessment, clinical decision making, communication, and documentation in the pre-hospital setting. This course will also review principles of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, advanced life support monitoring, treatments, and interventions, including airway management, for complex medical conditions, at the Paramedic level. The first component of this course will expand on medical emergencies not covered in previous courses. Extensive lab time will be spent on learning and practicing these skills. The second component of this course will serve as review and test prep. This course will run concurrently with Clinical IV.
