MEDC - 250 Medical Coding Directed Practicum 1

This course assists students with proper preparation of professional documents highlighting their skills and experience. Students will complete several timed practice exams in preparation for a national certiﬁcation exam utilizing core medical coding concepts, guidelines, code sets, and industry expectations that are learned in courses throughout the MEDC program. Students will participate in a virtual healthcare encounter simulation, utilizing industry standards to abstract key terms and apply them to medical coding guidelines and code sets currently utilized in the industry.

Pre-requisite(s):
MEDC 201 (C or better) and MEDC 205 (C or better)
