Soil and Aggregate Compaction Inspector will provide the Highway Engineering Technician with an overview of the basic concepts of Soil and Aggregate Compaction using WVDOH material procedures and the current WV Standard Specification of Roads and Bridges manual. Emphasis will be placed on procedure to determine random numbers, nuclear gauge standardization, roller pass method using WVDOH form T313, nuclear density test using WVDOH form T317, and one-point proctor using WVDOH form T-316.
