HMGT - 200 Healthcare Administrative Assistant 3

The course will prepare the student for the NHA Certified Medical Administrative Assistant exam. Topics covered within this course will include medical law and ethics, interpersonal communication, medical terminology, health information management, patient reception, registration, and appointment scheduling, procedure and diagnosis coding, medical billing, health insurance and health benefits, financial management, and human resources management. The student will practice skills through various modalities within the course utilizing a simulation charting system for hands-on skill practice.
