Program Description

The Associate of Science in Computer Science Technology: Web Design prepares students for entry-level careers in web design and development or for continued study in related computing fields. The program emphasizes the design and development of modern, standards-based websites that meet defined project and client requirements. Students gain hands-on experience with web design tools, scripting languages, database integration, and content management techniques used to create dynamic, data-driven websites. Coursework covers front-end design principles, intermediate web development, server-side programming, and relational database concepts. Students also explore systems analysis, ethical considerations in computing, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. Visual design skills are strengthened through the use of industry-standard graphic design software. Collaborative projects reinforce professional communication and teamwork skills commonly used in web development environments. The curriculum is designed for both first-time students and individuals seeking to enhance existing technical skills.
