Program Description
The field of criminal justice involves the three components of the criminal justice system: police, courts, and corrections. The academic discipline also includes study of the juvenile justice system and the extent and causes of crime among adults and juveniles. Criminal Justice is an exciting and interesting discipline that can lead to attractive and worthwhile careers.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Summarize the major components of the criminal justice system and the role each plays in creating a cohesive system for adults and juveniles in the US.
- Discuss the variables associated with trends in crime.
- Differentiate between the major approaches to responding to crime.
- Demonstrate appropriate job market competencies.

Program Requirements
PROGRAM NOTES: - Associate-level programs require a minimum of 60 hours of credit. When programs allow flexible electives, it is the responsibility of the student to select an appropriate combination of electives to meet the minimum credit hour requirement for the program.
