Program Description

The Welding Technology AAS program equips students with advanced welding skills and industry-recognized certifications, including OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR/AED. The two-year program offers comprehensive training in workforce readiness, introductory computer applications, English, Applied Technical Math, weld symbol interpretation, detail drawing, and an overview of the natural gas industry. Students gain hands-on experience in multiple welding processes, including Oxy-Fuel Welding (OFW), Shielded Metal Arc (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc (GMAW), Flux Cored Arc (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc (GTAW). Additional qualifications, such as SMAW 3G & 4G, API 1104 5G or 6G, GMAW 3G & 4G, and AWS D1.1 Equivalent further enhance employability. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in construction, manufacturing, heavy equipment repair, plant maintenance, and engineering, or to pursue advanced studies in weld engineering.
