Program Description
The Process Technology Program prepares students for employment as Process Technicians in multiple industries. This Associate in Applied Science (AAS) program provides students the technical skills, safety knowledge, and industry-specific training needed to support operations in fields such as chemical manufacturing, power generation, petroleum refining, and environmental systems. Students gain hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment, learn to monitor and control processes, troubleshoot system operations, and apply critical safety and environmental regulations. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, problem solving and effective communication to prepare them for real-world plant and field environments.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, graduates will be able to:
1. Explain the operation of process industry equipment.
2. Apply knowledge of safety regulations for process technology operations.
3. Generate process industry drawings.
4. Develop plant operations procedures.
5. Troubleshoot plant processes in a simulated process environment.
