Program Description
The Machinist Technology/CNC program provides students with the technical skills and knowledge needed to operate and maintain conventional and computer numerical controlled mills, lathes, and other machinig eqipment used in a modern industrial manufacturing setting. The program adheres to the standards of the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Level 1 certifications and aligns with national standards for BOL machinist apprenticeship.

- Interpret blueprints for part specifications
- Demonstrate ability to properly use and maintain machining equipment
- Produce complex parts with accurate measurements using conventional machining
- Demonstrate professionalism and responsibility in a work environment
- Produce complex parts with accurate measurements using computer nurmerical controlled (CNC) machining

Program Requirements
PROGRAM NOTES: - Associate-level programs require a minimum of 60 hours of credit. When programs allow flexible electives, it is the responsibility of the student to select an appropriate combination of electives to meet the minimum credit hour requirement for the program.
