ENVI - 101 ~ Introduction to Environmental Science 3


Environmental Science 101 is a standalone course for non-science majors and a foundation for science majors. For all students, it will provide an overview of many scientific disciplines (chemistry, biology and geology) and a comprehensive understanding of environmental science by covering topics such as biogeochemical cycles, the flow of energy in an ecosystem, climate change, land use, and conservation management. By using basic scientific principles, students will learn to think holistically in terms of society and the environment as an interrelated system.
