CSCT - 132 Introduction to Web Design 3

As a student in this course, you will learn the most important topics of HTML5 and CSS3.  First, you will learn how to prepare for creating a Web site. Next you will learn the basics of HTML and CSS. After you have mastered the basics you will learn how to insert and work with links and images on the Web site and learn how to organize it into organized lists and tables.  Finally, you will learn how to implement the page layout for the web site. Additionally, this course is an introduction to Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.  We will be spending most of our time in WordPress, but skills learned here can be applied to other types of CMS software.  We will learn how to manage server space and use an FTP Program called FileZilla to transfer files to and from the server. Additionally, we will set up a Database and Install WordPress so that we can use it to create a web site. Additional skills taught involve WordPress Plugins, Widgets, and Themes.
