PNUR - 110 Practical Nursing Pharmacology and Drug and Dosage Calculations 4 This course introduces the principles of pharmacology and pharmacodynamics. The framework for the course is the nursing process with reinforcement of safety and reduction of risk potential. This course is designed to enhance the nursing student’s ability to read, interpret, and solve dosage calculation problems. A strong emphasis is placed on the rights of medication administration, electronic charting, and reinforcement of accurate dosage calculations. The course contains simulation experiences to practice medication dispensing and administration in various forms and clinical situations. 48 Lecture hours/64 clinical laboratory
