This interdisciplinary course introduces students to the health care system with emphasis on allied health fields. Major units of the course include the history and evolution of healthcare, the continuum of care, disease prevention, economics, and the legal and professional aspects of health care. The course is designed specifically for students enrolled in an allied health discipline, but may be taken by others interested in the health professions.
