HMGT - 215 Management of Healthcare Delivery Systems 3

The American healthcare system is in an evolutionary process of change that is shifting towards preventative care with managed care concepts. A manager will need to assist in creating a cost-effective system without eroding the quality of care that the patient experiences. The students will study the theoretical constructs and practical applications of managing a physician practice in todays healthcare environment. There will be emphasis on the Quality of healthcare data collection, Coding and Billing strategies, financial management concepts, employee relations, healthcare information, medical malpractice, healthcare marketing, and capital financing of a practice.
