This course provides instruction in basic direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, assisted living and in-home health. The course includes both lecture and hands-on skill labs in the areas of communication, social interaction, basic nursing skills, personal care skills, basic restorative services, patient rights and understanding dementia.
