WLDT - 226 Basic Pipe Welding 3 Introduces the fundamental theory and procedures for pipe welding using the shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) process. Includes fundamental concepts, weld-joint design, layout, calculations, joint preparation and fabrication, pre-weld fit up and coverage of the related welding codes and standards. Emphasis on weld positions 1G, 2G, 5G, and 6G and 90-degree branch connections in accordance with American Petroleum Institute API-1104.
