VETT - 216 Animal Anatomy & Physiology I 3


A survey of the anatomy and physiology of major body systems for domestic animals. This course is intended to be an introduction to the anatomy and physiology of the cat, dog, and horse, with lesser emphasis on birds, reptiles and amphibians for students entering the veterinary technology field. Topics covered will be chemistry, cell and tissue structure, integument system, skeletal system, muscular system, nervous system, endocrine system, and sense organs. Mammal and other species dissection is required.
