BORE - 100 Introduction to Directional Boring 2

The Horizontal Directional Drilling Course will introduce students to Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) utilized throughout the utility industry. This course will cover many aspects of directional boring such as soil and fluid mechanics, PPE, 811 notifications, safety, trailering equipment, tracking electronics, downhole fluids, bore mechanics and hole integrity, public safety, and hands-on operation of a Ditch Witch JT-10 horizontal directional drilling machine. This course will include a combination of classroom, simulator, and field training exercises along with the basic operation/components of a mini excavator, backhoe, and a skid steer loader.
