Program Description
This multi-disciplinary program includes heating, ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning and electricity. Through problem solving, inquiry and analysis skills gained while in the HVAC program, students are prepared to become industry leaders. Upon satisfactory completion, the graduate is prepared to enter the field to design, install, service, maintain and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the HVAC/R industry and the terminology used.
- Express knowledge of the safety requirements, identifying tools, industry codes, and equipment used in the HVAC/R industry.
- Identify and develop the necessary skills and training relevant to installing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC/R equipment.
