Program Description

The Radiologic Technologist Assistant CAS is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to support a medical imaging team in clinical and administrative tasks.  The program blends classroom instruction and hands-on experiences to prepare students for entry-level roles in radiology departments, imaging centers, and hospitals.  Through focused coursework in anatomy, patient care, and radiologic safety, students gain a foundational understanding of diagnostic imaging procedures.  The curriculum emphasizes communication skills, ethical practices, and stackable credentials for workforce readiness.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate proficiency in supporting diagnostic imaging proedures and processes by understanding patient preparation and standards of practice
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, radiologic safety, and patient care protocols to function as a radiologic assistant.
  • Utilize appropriate terminology and communication skills while adhering to professional, legal, and ethical standards
